The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Surat, in collaboration with the Professional Protection Scheme (PPS) GSB IMA, successfully organized the PPS Zonal Executive Seminar (Surat Zone) today at 'Euphoria, The Fine Dine' located in Pal, Surat.
The primary objective of this seminar was to guide medical practitioners on understanding complex legal frameworks, avoiding allegations of medical negligence, and effectively managing legal litigation defense. Leading doctors from Surat attended the seminar in large numbers. Dr. Mukur Petrolwala, President of IMA Surat, and Dr. Haresh Bhavsar, Secretary, welcomed the guests and speakers.

Dr. Tirthesh Mehta delivered an important lecture on legal defense strategies for medical professionals. Advocate Dr. Arun Gupta (New Delhi) shared valuable legal information on how doctors can protect themselves against medical negligence claims under the Consumer Protection Act.
Additionally, Dr. Anil Patel, President of the IMA Gujarat Branch, and Dr. Bipin Patel, Chairman of PPS GSB IMA, were also present. They provided detailed insights into the necessity of the Professional Protection Scheme for doctors today, especially at a time when the doctor-patient relationship is deteriorating.
Dr. Hiren Vaidya, PPS GSB Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks, while Dr. Rajvi Bhavsar successfully anchored the entire event.
