The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Surat organized a medical seminar titled Rheumatology Update on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Euphoria, The Fine Dine, Surat. Led by IMA Surat President Dr. Mukul Petrolwala and I/c Hon. Secretary Dr. Haresh Bhavsar, the academic session featured expert presentations by Dr. Prashant Chotalia ("When Blood Vessels Betray You: A Practical Approach to Vasculitis"), Dr. Nishant Desai ("When Labs Don't Matter – Rheumatology Mimics"), and Dr. Dhaiwat Shukla ("Osteoporosis Unmasked: Who to treat, what to treat and when"). The event concluded with an interactive panel discussion involving all three speakers, moderated by senior rheumatologist Dr. Bankim Desai. Dr Mrudula Desai senior dermatologist of Surat city made awareness about various skin disease related to over use of local application of steroids.
